MEET the Dietitian

It is our belief that students' academic success may be closely linked to good nutrition and to living a healthy lifestyle. There are many opportunities that exist on campus for students to learn about nutrition and promoting healthy lifestyles. NCCU is staffed with a registered (RD) and licensed (LD) available to answer questions related to nutrition so you are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the dietitian.

Individual Nutrition Counseling
One-on-one counseling with a registered dietitian. Students can seek advice about weight control, nutrition, eating disorders, medical nutrition therapy for special diets, and fitness.

Metabolic Testing
How many calories do you need to gain or lose weight? Each persons metabolism is different. Learn how your metabolic rate affects your overall health and weight management goals. Call 919.530.6874 for an appointment.
